Today four pupils from Bainsford Primary came. They were Primary 7’s. They came to learn more about using their blog. We told them how to use Windows Live Movie Maker and how to use PhotoBucket and then how to upload it to our blogs. We also told them how to use the cameras and Microphones then we let them try everything for themselves. After that we took them to the computer suite and let them make a movie. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed themselves. <3 <3 <3

We made winter poems in school this week. To get the poem we had to think of something you see at Christmas and write two words to describe it. Next we had to write something we heard at Christmas and write two words to describe it. The write what we smelled and what we felt like. It was really fun. Here is my poem that I made with my friend, Ellie.

About My Learning

I have been learning about Australia.

I have got better at my maths.

I am now able to do 6 & 7 times tables.

I can speak confidently about  Topic work.

Now I understand how to divide.

About My Feelings

I was really happy when I got my maths work correct.

I really enjoyed learning about Australia and the countries around it.

I liked it when we made the coffee morning posters.

I felt great when I learned all the educational websites on the computer.

What I need to improve on

I know I still have to work on my handwriting.

Although I can do times, I’m not so good at dividing.

In the future I will work on handwriting.

I will keep practicing dividing.

The next thing I will concentrate on is language.

For the last couple of days we have had visitors. They have been people in our areas mum or dad. The first person that came was a lady called Mrs.L and she was a dietitian. The second person that came was a man called Mr.M and he worked as an engineer. The third person that came was a lady called Julie and she made table decorations. The fourth person that came was a lady called Mrs.B and she worked with the company INEOS. The fifth person that came was a lady called Irene and she owned a flower shop. The sixth person that came was a lady called Kirsty and she was a make-up artist. The seventh person who came was called Karen and she worked with a pharmacy. The last person so far’s name was Mrs.G

We are having a coffee morning at the school for our enterprize. It is going to have buiscuts, coffee, tea, cakes and things like that. I think the parents are coming and the people in our class are going to be waitresses and waiters. We havent organized it properly but we know like what theres going to be and that we are actually doing it.

At about 10 o’clock we go to Swimming at Grangemouth Swimming Pool. I am in group 2 and we get to jump in the big side of the pool and do backstroke to the little side of the pool. It was really fun, and we get to do like rolly pollies under the pool and we get to do forward stroke too. Our teacher is called Mr.Y and he is a very good and pushing teacher and he is one of my favourite teachers.

I am a member of the carronshore cross country team and i have been going for the past 4 weeks. It takes place every thursday 3:00 till 4:00 pm. Sometimes we go to the park near where i live and most of the time we have to run round it and then we run forwards and backwards about 3 times. I like it a lot and I feel it is making me more confident and faster.<3
